One-on-One Training
We offer one-on-one coaching from housebreaking to leash reactivity and everything in between; we can help you help your dog.
After an initial consultation, we develop a personalized training plan. At Pop Star Dogs, we believe that building a relationship with you and your dog is the most productive way to help you reach your goals. Sessions start at $110 and include email support.
Meeting up is easy, we are able to come to your house, you can come to the Pop Star Dogs backyard or we can meet at a park, whatever work for you and your dog.
We only offer family friendly, force free training solutions that are proven to be effective for you and your dog.
Adoption Counseling
Whether you are adding a first dog to your family, thinking about getting a second dog, or recently adopted a dog, Pop Star Dogs can help! For three years, we ran the foster/adoption program for a rescue and have experience getting people ready for a new dog, choosing a dog, and getting them settled once they are home.
Board and Train
Whether you are going out of town or your dog needs a jump start on training, Pop Star Dogs can help.
Pop Star Dog’s “Camp Rover” is a great option for those who don’t want their dogs to go to a traditional kennel style boarding facility, or for dogs who simply can’t be boarded due to people or dog re-activity or fearfulness.
Situated on 2 acres with invisible fencing, your dog will have his or her personal pet condo that is completely insulated with air conditioning/heating and a small yard for potty breaks. During outdoors time, your dog will have open access to the big yard to sniff, run, and play.
We also offer board and train! Whether your dog needs general house manners, crate training, impulse control, leash manners, or help with reactivity, Pop Star Dogs can take the leash.
Preparing Your Dog for Kids
Heather is a parent educator with Family Paws, an international parent education service to help families build bonds between their children and dogs in a safe manner. Having three dogs and two small children, she understands how overwhelming living with dogs and kids can be. Whether you are expecting a child, your children are starting to crawl, or you are thinking of adding a dog to your family, Pop Star Dogs is here to help you have a smooth and safe transition.
We provide a pregnancy package where we will come to your house at the beginning of each trimester and once the baby is home (and things are settled) to help you make the transition from dog parent to human parent. Topics covered include:
– learning how to read your dog’s body language
– preparing your dog for the arrival of the new baby
– setting your home up for your dog and baby
– what makes good supervision
